VisitAberdeenshire has announced that Claire Bruce will step down as Chair of the Board of Directors at VisitAberdeenshire on 11 November, following a six-year tenure.
Claire has been a pivotal figure in the organisation for eight years, following the merger of Visit Royal Deeside, Banffshire Coast Tourism Partnership and the then VisitAberdeen in 2016.
Her role at the helm of the organisation has seen her lead the Board as VisitAberdeenshire’s navigated the challenges of the pandemic, and the subsequent growth of the wider tourism sector to a record-breaking value in 2023. She will officially leave her role at VisitAberdeenshire’s Annual General Meeting on Monday 11 November.
Claire Bruce said: “It has been a privilege to serve as Chair of VisitAberdeenshire. I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together, and I’m confident that VisitAberdeenshire will continue to thrive and lead the way to drive tourism growth in the North-east of Scotland.”
