Foster Findlay Associates Limited, trading as Geoteric, a global leader in AI Seismic Interpretation software, has announced a significant leadership transition. Mitch Sutherland has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Nicola Blanshard, effective August 1, 2024.
After 13 years of dedicated service to Geoteric, with more than half of that time as CEO, Nicola Blanshard has decided to step down to pursue new opportunities. Reflecting on the transition, Jan Grimnes, Chair of Geoteric, expressed the Board’s gratitude: “The Board of Directors joins me in thanking Nicola for her unwavering loyalty and outstanding service. Under her leadership, Geoteric was transformed, positioning the business for substantial growth and success in both existing and emerging markets. We wish her every success in her future endeavors.”
Nicola Blanshard, reflecting on her time with the company, said, “It has been a privilege to lead Geoteric since 2018. I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together, and I am confident that the Company will continue to thrive.”
Mitch Sutherland, who previously served as UK & Africa Managing Director at Cegal Ltd., steps into the CEO role at a pivotal time for Geoteric. “I am honoured to have been chosen to lead Geoteric and its world-class team during such an exciting period for the Company. I look forward to delivering exceptional value to our customers and stakeholders. Together, we will build on the strong foundation laid by Nicola Blanshard and the Board of Directors,” said Sutherland.
