Mother’s Journey
Mother Technologies began with a simple yet innovative idea: to provide high-quality IT support to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), a service that was once exclusive to larger enterprises. This commitment to innovation has been the driving force behind the company’s growth and success over the years.
In 2006, Mother expanded into the telecom industry by acquiring the Telecom division of Grampian Business Products. This strategic move broadened the company’s service offerings, providing even greater value to its clients.
A significant milestone came in 2012 with the launch of Mother’s own data center, the Mother Cloud. This advancement allowed the company to deliver private networks for hosted IT, telecom, private connections, and managed security, enhancing its ability to offer comprehensive solutions.
In response to growing demand, Mother opened its Edinburgh office in 2018, expanding the company’s services throughout the central belt of Scotland.
The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 brought unprecedented challenges. Mother Technologies quickly adapted, playing a key role in helping Scottish businesses transition to remote work, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted operations despite global disruptions.
