Net Talent celebrates 10 years in IT Recruitment

18/02/2020

NET TALENT, a specialist IT Recruitment Company headquartered in Edinburgh, is celebrating a milestone of 10 years in business. With key values focused around Partnerships with People, Net Talent has demonstrated significant commitment to clients, candidates and local charitable organisations since its inception in 2010.

Founded by Yvonne Moffat, Net Talent provides bespoke recruitment services to technology, digital and data sectors across Scotland, the UK and beyond. With an enviable reputation within the industry and a broad range of partnerships with start-up, SME and blue-chip organisations, Net Talent is set to make their tenth year in business the busiest yet.

The trends of the tech industry over the past decade continue to shift and change, and to stay at the top of their game Net Talent has successfully evolved to meet client demands.

“Throughout fairly consistent political uncertainty, impending legislative changes about to impact the contracting market, and the challenges faced within the banking industry, we continue to work with companies that have thrived. We’ve helped build unicorns from the ground up, we’ve helped transform the digital face of banking and helped a huge variety of companies to hire the key talents which make their businesses a success. There is a huge level of confidence throughout the technology community in Scotland which is shown in the sheer volume of quality of opportunities being created within a variety of companies; old, new, large and small.” says Derek Gibb, Sales Director.

In addition to industry changes, Net Talent has evolved and grown as company considerably since 2010. With the addition of Sales Director and shareholder Derek Gibb in 2012 and recent appointment to the board of directors, Darren Dalrymple as Operations Director, Net Talent continues to offer a genuine opportunity to grow with the business. Welcoming all levels of experience from experts to graduate trainees, a bespoke mentorship programme sees employees rising through the ranks to senior positions in the company.

Committed to supporting the community and local charitable organisations, Net Talent is an official mentor for the Career Ready programme, and welcomed their first summer intern last year as part of a 4 week paid internship. The business also recently received an award from Investors in Young People for their work in supporting young people into employment.

Recognising and supporting social issues within the community saw the management team sleep rough last winter as part of SocialBite’s Sleep Out to support homelessness. Similarly, Net Talent supports Maggie’s Centres in Edinburgh, with staff acting as official volunteers for Maggie’s Centre events and further fundraisers planned to mark their tenth year in business.

Yvonne Moffat, CEO says, “I am extremely proud of the Net Talent team and it’s a pleasure to work alongside them every day. By empowering our staff to make decisions and build relationships with our clients, who we view as partners, we’re able to help our employees exceed their personal and professional goals.”

“We have grown year on year in both headcount, new clients and profitability and have recently invested in our brand with the help from our clients and candidates. We are all proud of what we have achieved thus far and look forward to the next ten years.”
